How do you decode the USPS tracking number?

I know only about the first symbol and, the most obvious, the 2 last symbols.

As for the last 2 - it's the originating country.

The first letter - if it's 'E', it's most likely means 'express'.

If 'L' - it's a letter.

Still have to get to know what 'R' means.
