How does piston works in engine?

In an engine, the piston is a cylindrical component that moves up and down within a cylinder. During the intake stroke, the piston moves down, drawing in air and fuel. When the piston moves up during the compression stroke, the mixture is compressed, and a spark ignites it, causing an explosion that forces the piston back down during the power stroke. This up-and-down motion of the piston is converted into rotational motion by the crankshaft, ultimately powering the vehicle.
