Why is someone who is financially stable is more like to be focused on social experiences then someone who does not have enough money to buy his or her next meal?

Humans have basic needs for food, water, shelter, adequate sleep and clothing; sometimes sex is included as one of these conditions. Satisfying all of these will create a certain level of stabiity, comfort and relaxation. Having the money to meet these needs creates free time for the individual, which he or she may use to interact with others, travel, learn various skills, or use in other recreational or educational ways. If basic needs are not met, however, perhaps because finances are unstable, people will spend most of their time trying to attain the necessities of life.
