How do you tell how old your stray dog is?

The best bet it taking it to the vet, or checking its teeth. (if it lets you get near enough) Usually a sign of old age is gray hair (in a dog that's natural color shows no signs of gray) or worn down teeth. Young dogs are usually very excited and move around a lot, and have sharp/new teeth.
