What is Hospice Care like?

Hospice care is the tender, compassionate medical care of patients who have terminal illnesses or have other complications that will result in death. Full medical care is provided for the patient along with any life support systems that may be necessary. Hospice care is usually a team work consisting of nurses, home health aides, social workers, therapists, counselors, and physicians. The team works together to provide the needed medical assistance and care, basically to make the final weeks of life as comfortable as possible.
