Corretta Scott King passed away on January 30 2006 from complications from ovarian cancer. She had been diagnosed with the disease in 1993 and she fought a long and difficult battle with it. She was also suffering from Diabetes which further complicated her health. Her death was ultimately attributed to complications of the ovarian cancer and diabetes.
