What is a Bonabo?

Bonobos are an endangered species of chimpanzees (pan paniscus) which is smaller than the regular chimp. They were originally called Pygmy Chimpanzees due to their smaller size. The Bonobo has been the object of a lot of scientific back and forth - some scientists claiming that their overt and casual sexuality made them peace loving and social, others claiming that they are actually nasty critters given to cannibalism and murder (while still being very sexually active)
