Some of the biggest problems with using continents as a unit of analysis include the large variability within continents, the diversity of cultures and economies they encompass, and the oversimplification of complex global issues when using continents as the primary point of reference. Additionally, there can be difficulty in addressing regional disparities within continents and overlooking the importance of transnational connections that may exist across continents.
