How can I replace a fluorescent light bulb?

To replace a fluorescent light bulb, first turn off the power to the fixture. Allow the bulb to cool if it was recently on. Gently twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket. Insert the new bulb and twist it clockwise until it is securely in place. Turn the power back on to test the new bulb.
