When you jailbreak your itouch using blackra1n the screen goes black?

So i plug my 3rd generation itouch into my laptop and its updated to 3.1.2. I have jailbrokin it before and for some reason now when i attempt the blackra1n "make it rain" box says "waiting for reboot" any suggestions on how to jailbreak it successfully?
