What type of oil needed for vw polo 1.6 petrol engine?

i have a polo 1.6 manual transmission mod 2005. I change oil at the company's garage, they are using castrol full synthetic 10/40 for this model since 2008, they used 15/50 in 2006 and 2007. Hope it helps
