Why did Henry Ford drop out of school?

He left school to help out on the family farm. This was pretty common back then.

By the way, Ford didn't build or invent the first car in the USA. George Baldwin Selden designed and patented the first American car design in 1875. Frank and George Baldwin Selden built the first cars in the USA. They set up their first car company in 1893.
