A most surprising and delightful sauvignon blanc from the Loire Valley. I was struck by the clarity and crispness of this wine. No grassy flavor as found in many sauvignon blancs. It presents with a straightforward frankness and simplicity that is quite rewarding for a wine rated at 86 recently in the Wine Spectator and priced in the $14-16 range.
