Has the government secretly cured cancer?

If it's a secret, that'd be difficult to nearly impossible to say unless a person was a part of the secret. However, most would say no because they see no reason for them to allow such a disease to continue devastate lives, while others might say yes because they view government as evil in any way possible, and feel they'd want to benefit as much as possible from donations for research, and so on. The latter would be more of the conspiracy theorists answer.
