The best use is the one it was invented for: sealing air conditioning and heating ducts. But Duct Tape can also be used for strengthening, decoration, or both.
- This might be one of the funniest ways to use duct tape, but it works. My dad used to use it to refasten my disposable diapers after opening them and checking them for care packages. (This is what MOM said)Those old tabs did not want to be reused!
- re-patch a hole
- wrap it around a can to make it super strong against wear and tear
- keep a box or lid closed tightly for a long time by wrapping it all the way around the box a couple of times
- reinforce and decorate book binders (usually another color other than gray)
- decorate any other hard objects (again, usually some other color other than gray, and yes, there are different colors of duct tape)
- create a wallet, or any other useful object.

- trussing a chicken - but use ONLY oven-ready duct tape that you bought in a kitchen store.
- Seal Windows and doors at times of war.
- Seal holes and cracks in pipes.
- Preserve a jigsaw puzzle ... from the back, of course.
