How do you tell if a pair of ray bans are real?

These are fours ways to verify the authenticity of a pair of Ray-Ban glasses.

1. Manufacturer

Ray-bans are primarily manufactured in Italy ever since the Italian group Luxottica bought Bausch & Lomb. You have a replica if any part of the sunglasses contains the inscription "Bausch & Lomb" or "B & L".

2. Carved Bridge

All Ray-bans made from 1999 onward sport the Word RAY-BAN carved along the inside of the bridge of the shades.

3. Lens Arm

Genuine Ray-bans have the following information on the left ear:

• Model #
• Model description
• Submodel #
• Lenses width and bridge length
• Lens type code

4. "Ray-Ban" Lenses Mark

The authentic laser engraving can been seen behind the left lens of genuine Ray-ban sunglasses.
