Did your renault clio 1.2 16v need setting valve clearance after 120.000 km?

The 1.2 has screw and locknut valve clearance adjustment. If you don't adjust them every 24,000 miles you will probably end up with burnt valves, loss of compression and the emissions warning light coming on to protect the catalytic converter. Engine wobbles on its mounts and fuel consumption goes up.
