My Answer (Tamara Nobles): Well, first is to compete. Especially with GM and Daimler, more specifically, Dodge and Chevy. Second, they try to make dependable cars for people. Not only that, but for a fair price. Third, they try to make cars that last long (those that are properly taken care of). As far as pick-ups, they attempt to make larger, more powerful and comfortable models than their competitors.

Now as far as their divisions, it's the same as up mainstream. But they try to make models for divisions, and get a percentage, or cut, of the profits made (which was why Ford killed off Aston Martin, due to not getting profits). The divisions of Ford, including those from the past, are Lincoln, Mercury (defunct), Edsel (defunct due to too many problems), Volvo (sold to another brand), Land Rover (Bought out by Ford in 2000, then sold to Tata Motors, along with Jaguar, which finished over this summer), Jaguar (sold with Land Rover), and a few others.
