Can you use ant repelent near your pet rats aquarium?

No! It would probably get in the air and cause a sneezing fit or respiratory infection. I have two female pet rats that used to sneeze nonstop due to the bedding at their former owners home and have realized that even strong perfumes and smoke near their cage can cause respiratory infections.

No I use cage liners instead of bedding, dust free litter for their litter box (Critter Litter, available online or at PetCo), and keep them in my bedroom so that they are not exposed to smoke or ect. They never sneeze and have been healthy since I rescued them as well as very happy!(:

[[Side Note: Aquariums make bad homes for small pets, rodents mostly. The ammonia in their urine can basically ruin the air for them and cause sneezing or respiratory infections. You can research further online but that's the just, hope it helped!]]
