It depends on the type of cake, and how good the decorator is. For cake with simple designs and icings, they should be able to complete anywhere from 3 or 4 to a dozen (for small sizes) cakes in an hour. For more elaborate designs or impornant, larger cakes (graduations, baby showers, weddings, ect.), it should take them a few hours just to complete that one cake.
