They both are antibiotics. The Clindamycin is a antibiotic used for treatment of infection in the mouth, i.e. abcesses. Cephalexin is a weak antibiotic that is used when doctors don't know which one would work best. It is a very weak antibiotic. It would not hurt at the very most you could get another infection you don't want if you are a woman. But why take 2 when you don't need it. With any antibiotic is just takes time.

Hi ,Cephalexin is not a weak antibiotic ,its a cephalosporin 1st generation and the regular used its limited to ligtht to moderate infections mostly vs gram + germs ,Clindamycin is a lyncosamin antibiotic that can be used for moderate to severe infection with the additional ratio of action (over anaerobics germs plus grams + or - ),the mechanism of actions are different and both can be used if needed for severe infections with a wide radio of action(gram + ;gram - and anaerobics germs )more details go to your doctor.
