In 2002, the Prime Minister of Pakistan was Zafarullah Khan Jamali. He took office on November 21, 2002, after being elected as the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q). Jamali was the first Prime Minister elected after the military rule of Pervez Musharraf.
