What are the size and shape of a milipead?

Millipedes have segmented bodies that are cylindrical in shape. Although there are many millipede species, most of the common species have 80 to 400 legs. However, there is a giant African millipede with 700 legs. An adult millipede can range in length from 1 to 15 inches, depending on the species. There are approximately 10,000 millipede species.
