well,I spanked the ones that chose to be spanked. Above the age of 8, there was a choice of being grounded , losing a privilege , having extra chores or spanking. There were a pre-determined number of swats, and never done in anger or the heat of the moment. if they dont say anything in 1 minute, you pick two of them yourself. pick the spanking, and extra chores.
