In a worksheet rows are identified by the row numbers which are displayed at the beginning of each row. These numbers increase incrementally as you move down the worksheet. For example the first row would be labeled as row 1 the second row as row 2 and so on.

Rows can also be identified by the letters at the top of the worksheet which correspond to the columns. For example the first row is labeled with the letter A the second row with the letter B and so on. This allows you to easily refer to specific cells in the worksheet by their column and row identifiers such as A1 B2 etc.
