John Dickinson was an American Founding Father who played a prominent role in the lead-up to the American Revolution. He was a delegate to the Continental Congress and helped draft the Articles of Confederation. Dickinson also contributed to the writing of the Declaration of Independence and later served as President of Delaware and Governor of Pennsylvania.
