Are cellphone good for school children?

kids have cell phones bcuz they like to talk to their friends alot and text...things that some parents don't let their kids do on their phones on a regular basis...mayb lyke once or twice a month+&kids that have cell phones are considered cool+&theyre very very popular nowadais so if yhu don't have 1 yhure probably considered a lame or unpopular by the kids who do have cell phones+&yhu kinda fell left out
