Who invented the hydraylic excavator?

Armstrong and Co in the UK invented a shovel in the late nineteenth century that used water to power the cylinders but the hyd excavator we know know evolved from other types of equipment and no single company can claim that they invented it but pioneers were Poclain and Priestman in Europe
