How do you get information about help in getting homes from hud?

I would recommend consulting a Realtor who specializes in HUD homes, unless you have significant experience in purchasing real estate. They are sold under a sealed bid and the properties often have not been maintained or have damage due to neglect or vandalism. An agent who has experience in dealing with this type of home is your best protection--not just any agent you find in an ad!
