What relationships are established in the exposition between Rikki and the two cobras in Rikki-tikki-tavi?

The relationship is one of protagonist/antagonist. Rikki-tikki only knows snakes as his natural enemy and Nag & Nagaina know that it is "kill or be killed" as soon as they realize the little mongoose has been adopted by the family.
