Why do roly pollies drink blood?

Roly-polies, also known as pillbugs or woodlice, do not actually drink blood. They are terrestrial crustaceans that primarily feed on decaying organic matter, such as leaves and wood. If they appear to be consuming something that resembles blood, it may be due to the presence of moisture or fluids in decomposing plant material.
