How do you change a water pump on a 1985 Fleetwood Cadillac?

To change the water pump on a 1985 Fleetwood Cadillac, first disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the serpentine belt, and then detach the hoses connected to the water pump. Unbolt the old water pump from the engine block, clean the mounting surface, and install the new pump with a new gasket. Reattach the hoses, reinstall the serpentine belt, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.
