How old does a child have to be to read the book called The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan?

There is no mature content whatsoever in The Lightning Thief, and it doesn't necessarily have a set age. I would recommend for a child of around 9 or 10 to read it, as Percy in the first book is only in grade 6.
