How do you troubleshoot a stuck 1998 Honda CRV driver's side door lock?

Does the door lock work with the key? If so - activate the automatic doorlock switch. If the doorlock doesn't 'click' then it is probably the electrical solenoid that powers the doorlock. If all the other electric doorlocks work it is probably NOT the fuse. The solenoid could be burned out, or the wires may have come loose, or shorted. If the key doesn't work, but the solenoid 'clicks:' then it is probable that the latch has become detached from the locking mechanism contained within the door. Either way you will probably have to remove the interior door panel to gain access to the locking meachnism to work on it.
