How do you make a school uniform cute?

Lots of schools have a dress code (which means too excessive = detention!), but don't make that stop you. There are many ways you can jazz up your uniform.

Of course, it depends on the school and how strict the principal is. But you could give your uniform a haircut...just do a v-cut on the side, or make a wavy hem for it! Surely your principal won't mind...

Or, you could paint or colour in your shoe laces and thread them back in your shoe. This looks really pretty. If you use highlighter or fluoro paint/texta, it really stands out, especially on a white or black shoe.

Same thing with socks - yeah yeah yeah, white or blue socks are really plain and boring. Use coloured tailor's chalk or paint and draw some stars or streaks on it! Or you could wear special socks that are odd, or stripey, or coloured...

When you do your hair, your uniform gets really jazzed up too. Try putting a bright coloured ribbon or hair tie or headband in your hair. You could try putting streaks in it too (if your parents will let you). Or you could do something cheaper and use highlighter or texta (hopefully washable) to decorate it. You can French-braid it or put beads and strings in it, or style up an awesome hairdo. Whatever you do, just make sure it's allowed!
