Is Meredith a good name for a baby girl?

It depends on what traits you want a name to have...

On one hand Meredith was originally a Welsh masculine name, so it's meaning "great lord," isn't very feminine.

On the other hand, in America, Meredith is almost exclusively female and most people aren't aware of it's origins.

Name-wise it has a soft sound and a strong image... so in my opinion, it's pretty good.
