Who wrote articles in newspaper?

Generally no one persona writes all articles. Each section is written separately by different members staffed by the newspaper company itself. Some staffed writers have specific columns such as the "Dear Abby" column etc. There is also the associated press in which local newspapers pay a certain amount to have an article already written by someone else in which this same article may appear in several newspapers. This is particulalrly common with national news coverage.
