What are landfills made from?

landfills are made by taking out a large mass of the earth then they fill a small amount of the inside surface area with a type of plastic material that is very durable and will not degrade nor let anything leak through over long periods of time this ditch is then vented so gases such as sulfur and methane can escape and then your trash goes into what may seem to be a very large trashbag in the earth lol but remember its always cooler to recycle than throw things away in the trash =]
