What is the conflict of someone to love me by anne schraff?

Its the story of a girl coming to terms with dying alone. She gets desperate not to be alone as she ages so she starts just dating anyone. This desperation just further drives people away and makes it even harder for her to find love. So then she becomes celibate and learns that the greatest love is that which a person can have for themself. But then as soon as she learned that she didn't need anyone she found the man of her dreams.
