How many bodies of Water surround Aksum?

Aksum, located in northern Ethiopia, is not directly surrounded by significant bodies of water. However, it is situated near the Tigray region, where the nearby Adwa Mountains and various rivers, including the Tekezé River, can be found. The closest major body of water is Lake Tana, which is about 200 kilometers to the southwest. Overall, Aksum itself is more inland and not bordered by large bodies of water.
