Why khajuraho built?

Khajuraho was built between the 9th and 11th centuries by the Chandela dynasty of India. It is believed that the temples were built to honor various Hindu gods and goddesses, as well as to celebrate love, life, and spirituality. The intricate carvings and sculptures on the temples depict scenes from everyday life, mythological tales, and spiritual teachings.
