My car brokedown after going through water why?

'could be a number of things. If some water splashed up under your hood, it could have shorted out some electronics and whatnot, check your fuses. Otherwise, you are faced with the awful possiblility that you got water in your engine (first in your gas tank or otherwise). More or less, that would just F everything up. If it's not the fuses, take the thing in to get fixed.
