Percentage of homes in U.S. with television set in 1960?

Depends on what you call a TV. If any clunky bug-eyed box with horrible reception will do. Nearly everyone could watch TV. If you didn't have one at home, go to see one elsewhere. In 1963, I was the remote control for our 2nd B&W TV and could get at least 3 local free through Air channels on rabbit ears clearly. 4 more had more snow. (the first TV had to be replaced).
