Why do people like dogs more than cats?

Not everyone thinks the same way. There are in fact, more pet cats than there are dogs in the world. It depends on the animal itself and not the breed. There some very mean dogs around and some very mean cats. Everyone has their own opinion. Take me for example. I personally do not think dogs are better than cats but that is just my opinion. Cats can be cute and lovable in the same way dogs can. They cuddle up to you, show affection and know when you need some cheering up. Also they are barely any work because you don't have to keep up with the walks and baths and groomers. So everyone doesn't think that dogs are better, because it is an opinion. Also someone may like a dog because of personal experiences with dogs/cats and also their personality may be like a dogs. Here are some reasons people like dogs:

Dogs are seen as dependable, loyal, useful companions. They are easily trained Guide dogs for the blind, deaf and other disabilities; use of dogs on Police patrols, sniffing out drugs, bombs etc, and in rescues in mountain and desert ranges. They are a "pack" animal that needs a dominant leader (the dog owner). Some dogs are extremely astute as to people's feelings and want to bring comfort and therefore have earned the tag of "Man's Best Friend".

Dogs are man's best friend. They can do almost anything. They're easy trained and people can use them as police dogs, as dogs who find explosives or drugs, as rescue dogs, etc. or just plain pets! They're really sweet and show their love in an emotional way. I don't think neither is bad, in fact, I have a dog and she makes me very happy, and my best friend has the sweetest cat I've ever seen, so it actually depends on the animal and not it's breed!

So to answer the final question, not everyone does not think dogs are better than cats. There are many reasons why people like both but it is your opinion.
