Who was the Governor of Texas in 1859?

Peter Hansborough Bell (born May 12, 1812 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia; died March 8, 1898 in Littleton, North Carolina) succeeded George T. Wood as the third Governor of Texas, serving between December 21, 1849 and November 23, 1853, including the whole of 1850.
