The Munich Putsch, also known as the Beer Hall Putsch, was the Nazi Party's attempt to copy Mussolini's successful "March on Rome" about a year prior, which had brought Mussolini and his Fascist Party to power in Italy.
Hitler admired Mussolini, and had similar ideas on how to run the government. He hoped that he could successfully come to power the same way- however, his attempt failed, and he was briefly imprisoned for it.
