-- Hang the object from at least two different points on it, in turn.

-- During each hanging, draw a line on the object, directly downward, starting

at the point from which it hangs.

-- The object always hangs with its center of gravity directly below the point

from which it hangs. So all such lines pass through the center of gravity, which

is indicated by the point at which two or more such lines intersect.
