To make dal in a pressure cooker, rinse 1 cup of lentils and add them to the cooker with 4 cups of water, 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp of turmeric, salt, and any desired spices. Cook on high pressure for 10-15 minutes, then release the pressure and stir well. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or bread.
