Is a giraffe faster than a lion?

Lions eat giraffes for starters. Lions belong to the family of big cats called Panthera while giraffes belong to the family Giraffidae and their closest relative is the antelope. Lions are carnivorous (kill & eat meat) while giraffes are herbivores (eat plants). Lions are natural enemies of giraffes.
