What does it mean when a guy says you can get any man you want?

i was in a similar situation, it basically means that he wants you but is trying to say that he cant believe he has you in saying " you can get any guy that you want why me " meaning that you are too good for him in his eyes. Or it can mean that he doesn't want you & wants you to leave him alone & pursue other men.
